ELIGIBILITY AND HOW TO APPLYThe David Beckham Academy has identified school districts within LA County to launch the first phase of the School Outreach Program for 2008. The Program is offered on a first come first serve basis. The David Beckham Academy Coaching staff will come to your school using our equipment and coach all your 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders on a Tuesday or a Thursday throughout the school year. There is no cost to the school or the students for this program. The Program involves a two-hour session; the first hour involves coaching soccer to the children. The core concepts of soccer are taught in a fun and inspiring way. For the second hour the children take on a role as either a Nutritionist or an Athletic Trainer and work through challenges that teach them either the food pyramid or human anatomy. All tasks are designed around soccer and education with a focus on fun learning!
